ilumus is a student run society with a membership made up of University of Sussex students, staff and alumni.

Board
The society is managed and run on a day to day basis by a board annually elected by members.
A longer term steering group will soon be appointed to ensure the year on year success of the society.

Board Elections (2007-2008)
A new board is to be elected during week 9 of the Spring Term. The exact structure of the board is to be decided but the following could be used as a guide.

Steering Group
Selected from members of our partner organisations, our steering group will be appointed to maintain consistency of the society's activities as student board members move on to new things.
Guest Members
Any University of Sussex student, staff or alumni that comes along to a meeting automatically becomes a guest member of ilumus. This can be formalised by signing up on the sign in page.
Full Members
Regular Guest Members can become full members giving them greater access rights on the web site and a range of other benefits. A formal process, probably involving an annual subscription fee, will be in place for the 2006/2007 academic year.
Partners
Partners are organisations or people that actively support ilumus on an ongoing basis and have expressed a wish to be recognised as a Partner.
Associates
Associates are people or organisations that are not eligable for membership or do not wish to become members but are interested in following the societies development.
